My path to this industry wasn’t traditional. I studied Economics and earned my degree from the University of Texas at Austin, but I found my real calling out in the field. Working on heavy industrial job sites and power plants teaches you a brutal lesson about efficiency: if a project falls behind schedule or runs over budget, it hurts the whole company.
That high-pressure environment taught me how to budget down to the exact dollar, track materials daily, and build realistic timelines where no one is sitting around wasting time. When I stepped into the residential contracting market, I realized homeowners deserved that exact same level of organization and clear tracking.
